Sarah is a sensitive soul who has always connected to nature, animals and children. She is a former early childhood teacher and director, children's author, homeschool supervisor and mother. She graduated from university with a bachelor's degree in teaching (birth - 5 years) and worked with children and families for more than 20 years.

During her teaching career, Sarah worked in various roles and settings, including community based preschools, long day care centres, supported playgroups, a mobile toy and book library and community outreach programs, where she was responsible for making books, play and early literacy experiences, and early intervention services accessible to young children in underprivileged areas.

Sarah advocates the importance of play and reading for early learning and development. She believes that experiences in the early years set a strong foundation and shape a child's future learning and success.

Sarah has a strong passion for picture books and has always adored sharing them with young children, as a parent, an educator, and an author. Seeing the joy and benefits that books bring to children was Sarah's inspiration to start writing herself, when she penned her first story in 2006, later publishing her first book in 2009.

Sarah also has a multitude of knowledge and experience with special needs children, through her own parenting and her teaching career, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety, and Selective Mutism.

When Sarah is not writing, she enjoys being in nature, photography, and spending time with her children and spoilt Foxy.
